a twenty-four hour nightmare of terror..

In honor of the very first Friday the 13th. since starting this hot and steamy blog, i present to you now a compilation of the best murder scenes of the illustrious franchise that started with FRIDAY THE 13TH. (1980, Sean S. Cunningham).. 

 

All hail Jason Voorhees.. 

 

In the meantime.. 

Opening this weekend is THE HAPPENING (2008, M. Night Shyamalan) and THE INCREDIBLE HULK (2008, Louis Leterrier).. 

According to my fellow film critics, the former sucks major ass, where as the latter actually kicks-ass.. 

So supposedly, the last time the big, green angry guy graced the big screen, audiences across the globe absolutely loathed it (especially MARVEL fanboys).. But i have to admit, i kinda liked HULK (2003, Ang Lee) when it first came out. And not just because it starred the ULTRA-HOT Eric Bana and Sam Elliott.. Nevertheless, the franchise needed a reboot and everyone seems to be happy with the finished product.. 

On the other side of the marquee, the slow and agonizing descent of Mr. Shyamalan’s career continues with the release of THE HAPPENING. After hearing all the stories about this guy’s ego, it’s only fitting join in on his very public beating.. The story concerns an airborne toxin that causes people to all of a sudden commit suicide en masse..

SPOILER ALERT: 

It turns out the toxin is released into the air from the trees, i guess as a form of environmental retribution against humankind..

 Hey Night, there’s definitely a toxin in the air.. And her name be schadenfreude..
