Saw Milk and it was pretty damn good! Sean Penn delivered a performance that is sure to grab him an Oscar nod. That film sure didn't waste any time getting to the heart of the story about the struggle for equality and elimination of biases in 1970s America. The acting was all around fantastic. Emile Hirsch was almost unrecognizable at first, while everyone provided great supporting performances. Van Sant did a great job directing, and giving the movies a gritty vibe for what San Francisco in the 70s looked and felt like. A movie that inspires, and resonates well beyond what Milk could have imagined.
